P&O Ferries Hits Double Tops with Deller and Bristow
Dover, UK (PRWEB) September 13, 2009 -- Darts gods Keith Deller and Eric Bristow will step up to the oche with P&O Ferries to re-kindle a rivalry that saw the former World champions dominate darts for more than a decade.
It was in 1980 that 'The Crafty Cockney' Bristow won his first of four World titles, with a brash confidence that delighted fans and rattled opponents out of their doubles.
But in 1983 baby-faced Deller caused a sensation, beating Bristow by six sets to five to become the youngest World Champion in the history of the game. Nicknamed 'The Milky Bar Kid' because he turned to the dairy drink after taking the title, Deller holds the record for the fastest game ever, hitting 301 in just 97 seconds.
